Audio Antics is a music production company that specialise in making music for video games. The company recently completed the soundtrack to Bizarre Creations Xbox 360 launch title ‘Project Gotham Racing 3’, Xbox Live Arcade title ‘Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved’ and Xbox 360 title ‘The Club’, and they are currently working on several new multi-format projects with Bizarre Creations.
As Audio Antics work with such technologically-savvy clientele, it was important their online presence captured the hi-tech and cutting-edge nature of their company. The site needed a look and feel that evoked innovation, whilst conveying the cool, adaptable nature of their music production.
The website Sound in Theory created for Audio Antics reaches all these goals. It features an eye-catching motion intro that invokes the company’s music production and vision – created entirely in Adobe After Effects. This Flash cinematic introduction features the moving eye of Sound in Theory’s very own Flash animator, which we took a photo of, separated into layers in Photoshop and animated in After Effects. The audio of the introduction is used in conjunction with plug-ins, to generate waveforms and other elements that react to the backing track.
The site’s navigation is artistic yet intuitive, and reflects Audio Antics modernity and coolness perfectly. The homepage features Audio Antics music production portfolio orbiting the company logo. Visitors can view the music for individual games or view a list of all Audio Antics tracks from a menu that appears when you click anywhere on the site’s background. The custom-built audio player features a pulsating speaker that reacts in time with the audio.
Featuring a unique and involving interface, interactive audio player that showcases Audio Antics work and background audio effects created by them, Audioantics.co.uk has a fresh and exciting visual and audio approach that makes computer screens pop!
