Bill Sykes is a photographer, based near Exeter, who provides wedding photography services to couples throughout Devon and the South West. A professional photographer for over 11 years, Bill had built up a remarkable portfolio of wedding photographs. Yet Bill’s existing website did not do this portfolio justice, nor inspire much confidence in potential clients; he approached Sound in Theory to design and create a website that would.
To ensure the website stands out in the competitive wedding photography market, Sound in Theory designed Billsykesweddings.co.uk to look professional – thus establishing him as an experienced wedding photographer that people can rely on to capture their special day. The site design is also subtle, with a simple black and white colour palette forming the background, to allow the photography to lead the site. The HTML site features a flash slideshow that show off Bill’s wedding photography portfolio cleanly and crisply, whilst providing an added wow factor to the website.
As Bill would need to update the site regularly with photos of newlyweds, Sound in Theory built the site with a custom, easily updatable CMS. This will allow Bill to keep the site looking new and up-to-date, as well as provide a place for recently married couples to view the photographs of their wedding online.
The site is also built with good groundwork for search engine optimisation (SEO), so Bill Sykes Wedding Photography can rise above other wedding photography websites in the search engine rankings. Sound in Theory’s SEO copywriting services were employed to boost this further, by implementing a well-targeted strategy in the website’s main copy and metadata, and ensure Bill’s existing copy flows.
