How to enable javascript

A guide to enabling javascript in various browsers

Most current websites use javascript to enhance the user's experience, including ours! Javascript is enabled by default in all current browsers. However if it's been turned off, you can switch it back on using the following steps:

Internet Explorer (6 - 7)

  • Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  • Choose 'Internet Options'
  • Click on the 'Security' tab
  • Click on 'Custom Level'
  • Scroll down until you see section labeled 'Scripting'
  • Under 'Active Scripting', select 'Enable' and click OK

Mozilla Firefox for the PC (1.5 - 3)

  • Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  • Choose 'Options'
  • Choose 'Content' from the top navigation
  • Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Mozilla Firefox for the Mac (1.5 - 3)

  • Select 'Firefox' from the top menu
  • Choose 'preferences'
  • Choose 'Content' from the top navigation
  • Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Apple Safari for the Mac (1 - 3)

  • Select 'Safari' from the top menu
  • Choose 'Preferences'
  • Choose 'Security'
  • Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript'
