Ghosts in the Wood is an exhibition of large-format photographs by Devon-based artist Mike Smallcombe. Featuring a range of hauntingly beautiful photographs that tell imagined stories of local people in rural settings, Mike’s exhibition offers a unique and wonderful experience for everyone that visits it. With the exhibition a continuing success throughout the UK, Mike looked to Sound in Theory to create a website to showcase Ghosts in the Wood. Sound in Theory created a full flash website that features a flash slideshow as the main part of the site, to show off the range of photographs that feature in the exhibition simply and elegantly. With a simple navigation structure and minimal text (just enough to provide a bit of background information about the exhibition and contact details); the full flash website captures the spirit of the exhibition by putting the focus on Mike’s remarkable pictures rather than words.
