Full-flash website

James Lake is an extremely talented local Exeter artist who needed a website that would showcase his work, whilst provide some information about his arts background and the work he does in schools and communities. James’s craft uses cardboard to create large sculptures that blur the boundary between high art and low art. Like James’s art, the website needed to be accessible, contemporary, and have broad appeal. Sound in Theory created a full flash website with a simple, intuitive navigation structure that ensures each visitor can find information in just a few clicks. It is peppered with clean, crisp flash slideshows, which are complemented by the site’s elegant design: the grey, white and black colour palette allowing the richness of the photographs to come to the surface, and the clean lines and simple background allowing the depth of his sculptures to really stand out.
