Artists are encouraged to submit their work to Machtgefuhl.com – the website for Machtgefuhl, a commune that seeks to unite artistic expression. The website Sound in Theory created is designed with this in mind: to constantly grow and evolve, as per the needs and users’ demand. The homepage is designed to leave maximum room for images, and is available in full screen mode. This allows the homepage to feature the maximum amount of artists, so no artist is seemingly prioritised over the other, thus staying impartial to each. As Machtgefuhl is an impartial collective, we ensured they too did not appear too intrusive on the site – the images forming the site’s basis to let the artists’ work speak for itself. To ensure new users’ who wish to participate their work to the website can do so without having great technological savvy, Sound in Theory built an easy-to-use CMS for the website. New artists are given a login, username and password, which allows them to upload and control their own area of the site, simply and easily.
