One of our newer pillar clients, Flip Out approached us in 2022. Their website is responsible for guiding the traffic to their booking platform, delivering 8 figure revenues per year.
At the time that they approached us, their website didn't represent the quality of the parks it served. SEO performance was poor, the branding wasn't being represented correctly and there were alarming performance problems attributed at that time to DoS attacks.
In an initial consultation and proposal phase Sound in Theory advocated for a bespoke build on our flagship platform. While the Flip Out team were leaning more towards a short term cost efficiency through the use of WordPress, we felt our approach was perfect for Flip Out as it would deliver a highly performant and secure website as unique as the parks themselves were whilst keeping the administrative burden low for an already stretched marketing team. We also felt flexibility was the key for an organisation as large as Flip Out.
The initial build was challenging, facing multiple hurdles. Ambition needed to be balanced with the available budget and it was a balancing act which was only possible because of Sound in Theory's willingness to sacrifice short term gains for a longer relationship.
The new website was launched on time and on budget. To say it was a success is to understate it some what. Initial analysis suggested the website paid for itself in increased bookings in less than a week. The website application has not had a single bug or issue which saw any downtime. Delivering this for the Flip Out team was the start of building a trust which has served as the backbone of the account to this day.
As with all our success stories, we didn't rest on the success of that initial build. We showed the client the value of a sustained monthly spend, providing same day support for any issue or question they faced and allowing them to make small changes empowering their team and organisation.
Eventually we proved the excellent ROI that was possible with investment into the website and an increased spend was agreed allowing for more ambition. Our first project was to build on the already hugely improved SEO performance from the initial build and implement sitewide improvements to the content and content structure based on our audit and research.
To partner this work, we highly optimised the front-end performance of the website with respect to delivery of assets, dramatically improving the speed scores being achieved by the site on various measurement applications.
This delivered a 2 fold success - hugely improving traffic aquisition via organic SEO and additionally delivering a small but significant bump in conversion rates. When this small gains are applied to larger organisations like Flip Out these small changes in conversion rates result in huge gains in revenue. Our analysis showed the project delivered an enormous ROI.
The account continues to build and are starting to embark upon controlled and tested improvements to the usability of the website in order to continue to deliver exceptional ROI.
