SITU's brief to Sound in Theory was to create an innovative online booking site to set them apart from the competition. One of our most ambitious front-end projects to date. The SITU website required a number of innovative search features, such as the ability to define a precise address for searching, as well as high-end design and attention to detail.

 

Objectives

Sound in Theory have enjoyed a successful five-year relationship with SITU (formerly Room-B). To capitalise on their rebrand effort, SITU wanted a website that reflected the company's new direction. SITU were clear about what they wanted - an industry-leading website to set them apart from the competition.

Search Innovations

The SITU website features a number of innovative apartment search features, such as the ability to set a work location for a search. By integrating Google Maps API, we were able to display results near a specific address.

Ordering by Travel Time

This allows users to achieve accurate ordering of results by proximity and travel time to their business location. They can change mode of transport, as well as being able to see where the apartment is on a map, relative to their place of work.

Immersive Apartment Pages

SITU Apartments are shown off to their full potential, with a fullscreen gallery that's optimised for any screen size, plus a striking design that emphasises key features and apartment benefits.  

Smart Booking

Serviced apartment pricing can be complex - our aim was to demystify the matter. Prices and preferences are remembered across pages, with clear indication of estimated prices based on length of stay.

Administration & Business Systems

Extensive administrative systems underpin the customer-facing website: with bespoke quoting engines, brandable customer portals, CRM functionality and invoicing / financial systems. For their large corporate customers, this has placed SITU on the leading edge of their market, winning confidence and business.

The Results

Since our work with SITU began, they have seen a 10x increase in website enquiries. During this time, they've grown from a small UK-based business to providing serviced apartments in over 60 countries worldwide.
